SPACE

Interactive Performance / Sound installation / 20 min

Saarbrücken, 2020

"SPACE" explores the relationships between bodies in the cramped and overcrowded cells of Syrian prisons. This 20-minute performance took place on a 3x3m square, symbolizing the limited space of these cells.

Through the use of body situations and the incorporation of sound and silence, the performance captures the micro-factual resistances and collective solidarities that arise in these oppressive environments. By immersing the audience in this tangible experience, the project invites reflection on the power of human connections and resilience in the face of oppression.
